There is 5 inches most places .except where the deeper snow is on the lake..  use caution when going on the frozen lakes..  3 to 5 inches of ice is enough to hold a quad.. but you better know where your going….

Looks like houghton lake is starting to freeze. This was 1/2 mile off shore east bay.  There is a lot of snow on the lake so always check ice thickness as you venture out …
