3 inches isn’t much but to some angler’s it’s time to fish. First ice fishing always sets off a frenzy of hungry fish and excited fisherman. 3 to 6 inches of ice seems safe enough to venture out. But always take your spud and check first ice… I’m seeing fisherman off most shores.
